Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for the under mentioned post on prescribed
application form:-
1. Name of Post:- Male Constable in India Reserve Battalions
2. Pay Scale of Post :- 5200-20200 plus GP of Rs. 2000/-.
3. Details of vacancies:-
The break-up of vacancies of Constable is as under:-
i) For 1st, 2nd & 3rd IR Bns.:-

4. Eligibility:-
a) Nationality: As per PPR 12.14 (1).
b) Domicile: As per PPR 12.14 (1)
c) Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification for a candidate
to be eligible for selection as constable shall be 10+2 for all categories.
d) Character Certificate: Candidates are required to produce a certificate of
character from the Principal Academic Officer of the University, College, School or
Institution last attended.
e) Age limits :- a) Lower-18 years
b) Upper-25 years
c) (i) For the candidate belonging to the Schedule castes and
Backward class categories relexation of upper age limit of 5
years shall be given as per Punjab Police Rule 12.15 (1).
(ii) Ex.-Servicemen upper age limit is 40 years plus continuos
military service added by three years as Govt. instruction
issued vide letter No. 3/3/99-1GSIII dated 22.09.1999.
The break in service between the date of discharge and
between 1st day of the month in which enrollment process is
started, shall not be exceed four years.
(Exact date on which the date is to be determined is 01.10.2013)
f) Physical Standard:
(i) Height-Minimum 5’-7”
(ii) Chest-Un-expanded – Minimum 33”
Expanded - Minimum 34 ½
(Minimum expansion of one and half inch)
(Note - Relaxation in Physical Standard to the extent of one inch in height and one
inch in chest will be available to candidates belonging to Scheduled caste, backward
Class categories and Ex.-Servicemen as per PPR 12.15 (2)).
5. Reservation: -
The reservation will be as per Haryana Govt. instructions. The dependents sons of
ESM are required to compete like General, SC, BC-A and BC-B categories candidates as
per existing rule 12.16 (14) of Punjab Police Rules for posts will only be considered in the
merit for the post reserved for ESM to the extent of non availability of suitable ESM
candidates.
ESM/DESM candidates of Haryana claiming benefit of reservation will have to
produce the fresh eligibility certificate from the concerned Zila Sainik Board at the time of
Interview. Mere dependent certificate will not be entertained. ESM candidates should also
produce at the time of interview an attested photocopy of identity card issued by concerned
Zila Sainik Board.
The benefit of reservation will be given only to those ESM/SC/BC who are domicile
of Haryana State. The SC/BC candidates are required to submit original SC/BC certificate
duly issued by the competent authority at the time of interview.
6. How to apply:-
Application can be submitted online only along with application fees of Rs 100/- for
a particular category of post as applicable. Due to technical reasons the online applications
will be accepted after 13 Nov 2013.
Government employees are eligible provided that they fulfill all the requisite
conditions and apply through proper channel.
7. Last Date:-
The online application can be filled up to 13 Dec-2013 after which the link will be
disabled. The candidates are strictly advised to apply online well in time without waiting for last
date of submission of online application. No offline application form will be accepted by the office.

8. Application fee:-
The General Category candidates and dependant daughters of ESM are required to
pay application fee of Rs. 100/- to be deposited in Haryana Government Treasury under
head “0051-Public Service Comission-NA-104-UPSC/SSC Examination Fees -99-Fees from
application to the Haryana Police Recruitment Board. The candidates shall mention the
treasury challan number and date of the fees in the online application at the relevant Column
ESM candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
No concession of fee is admissible to SC/BC/PHC of other States
9. Selection Procedure:-
Selection shall be made in accordance with the provisions in Punjab Police Rules
12.14 to 12.19.After due scrutiny of application forms, candidates found eligible shall be
informed online regarding the place, date and time of their Physical Measurement:-
(a) PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT:
Candidates who are found eligible on screening of applications will be screened for
height and chest measurements. Only those candidates will be allowed to participate
in Physical Efficiency Test who possesses required measurements.
(c) PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST:
Candidates found eligible on the basis of physical measurements shall undergo
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of total 20 marks. Candidates shall be tested for
following capacities as per PPR 12.16 (14):-

(c) INTERVIEW: The candidates securing qualifying marks (15) in Physical
Efficiency Test (PET) will be called for interview.
10. General:-
(a) A candidate against whom a criminal case stands registered and is under
investigation or pending trial or who has been convicted by a Court of Law need
not apply.
(b) Person less in height & chest measurement and with any physical deficiency need
not apply.
(c) Merit list will be drawn on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidate
in PET and Interview.
(d) Final Selection of candidates shall be made in order of merit of each category.
(e) Candidates will have to appear for selection at their own expense. No TA/DA will
be admissible. They should also make their own arrangement for stay during the
selection.
(f) Candidate shall be appearing for the PET at their own risk. The Govt. shall not be
responsible for any loss or injury caused during the test.
(g) The Haryana Police Recruitment Board has full right to make changes and
constitute additional District Level Police Recruitment Committees for Physical
Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test or cancel or postpone the recruitment
on administrative grounds or in the public interest.
(h) Candidates canvassing in any form will be disqualified from appearing in the test
or for final selection.

11. Rejection:-
An application form will be summarily rejected in the following events:-
vi) If a candidate makes more than one application for the particular category.
vii) If the application is not in the prescribed format.
viii) If the application is unsigned/incomplete.
ix) If full fee is not deposited in the manner prescribed or proof thereof not
attached with the application form
x) If a candidate does not possess the requisite academic qualification
