Crteria adopted by Haryana School Teachers Selection Board for the posts of PGTs against Advt. No. 1/2012 is as under:
Total Marks : 100 Marks Academic Criteria 67 Marks
The Bifurcation of Academic 67 marks is as under:
1. Basic Qualifications: 10 Marks Graduation.
0.10 of the percentage of marks obtained.)
2. (a)Essential Qualifications: 35 Marks M.A. History or Ancient Indian History and Culture or Culture and Archaeology
(b)B.Ed 5 Marks 0.5 of the percentage of marks obtained.
3. Higher Qualifications: 5 Marks
1) P.hd in the concerned subject 3 Marks
2)M.Phil in the concerned subject 2 Marks
4. STET/HTET 8 Marks 0.8 of the percentage of marks obtained.
5. Sports/NCC 4 Marks
i) Participation at National Level 1 Mark

ii) Participation at International Level 2 Marks
iii) NCC C Grade Certificate 1 Mark
iv) NCC B Grade Certificate 1 Mark (Maximum 4 Marks of 5(I) to 5(IV)
6. Viva Voce 33 Marks
To assess the knowledge of subject, communication skill and teaching skill. General knowledge, general awareness, intelligence, behavioural skills and personality.
Note:- As per service rules notified through notification dated 11th April, 2012 and amendment & 2 notified on 6th June, 2012 and 2nd July, 2012, the eligibility criteria which are as a one time measure, requires such persons to qualify HTET & B. Ed. by 1st April, 2015.
