Engagement of Guest Teachers in Schools of Directorate of Education for the academic year 2014-15 IN DELHI

PUBLIC NOTICE
Sub: Engagement of Guest Teachers in Schools of Directorate of Education for the
academic year 2014-15.
Applications are invited online from amongst the qualified youth for engagement
of Guest Teachers for the post(s) of Assistant Teacher (Primary/Nursery), Trained
Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT/Lecturer) in Delhi
Government Schools for the year 2014-15. Engagement of Guest Teachers is subject to
following Terms &Conditions : -
1. Guest Teachers shall be engaged purely on adhoc and daily basis till the
posts are filled up on regular basis. Guest Teachers shall not be entitled to
regular appointment. This is purely a stop gap arrangement. The candidates
so engaged shall not claim salary, allowances, facilities and other benefits

accruing to the regular teachers The candidates so engaged as Guest
Teachers shall not file any court case regarding salary and reqularizaticn etc.
2. Engagement of Guest Teachers is done Distrktwise. Subject-wise vacancies in
each District are at Annexure. However, the number of vacancies is tentative
and is subject to change. Department reserves the right to alter the number of
vacancies at any time, Directorate of Education will maintain a wait list I panel of
candidates to meet any requirement in the Current Academic Year,
3. Reservations and age relaxations to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Disabled
persons will be given as per Govt. orders. The certificate of OBC should be issued by
authority of Govt of NCT Delhi. For SC/ST candidates certificate issued by any
state/u'r will be considered. The candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped
category (Ortho + VH only) must posses "Disability Certificate' issued from a
Government Hospital.
4. Willing candidates may register themselves with anyone District of choice
online on our website www.edudel.nic in from 30.07.2014 (11.00 AM) to
07.08.2014 (UPTO 6 PM). Submission of applications other than online shall
not be entertained and any deviation in this regard shall lead to summary
rejection. Applicants are strictly instructed not to send any hard copy of the
application to this department.

5. Post based district-wise order of merit list will be prepared on the basis of academic
merit separately for each category of applicants namely SCfSTjOBC/Disabled persons
and others.
6. Allocation of school to the selected candidate will be merit based and
preferably through a computerized programme without any human
intervention. Request for change of school shall not be entertained at all at
any time during the engagement. If the person does not join within given
time, the offer of appointment will be cancelled.
7. The Guest Teachers will be dis-engaged from the school as soon as a regular teacher
joins the school and the Guest Teachers working in that particular school will be
disengaged irrespective of his/ her standing in the order of merit list initially drawn
district-wise for the purpose of engagement.
8. Guest Teachers engaged onHne during 2013-14 will be given preference mark in the
engagement of Guest Teachers during 2014-15.
9. Candidates applying for TGTs and Assistant Teachers (Primary) post are informed that
following order of priority will be followed in the engagement process.
9.1 All candidate passed Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) will be considered
in the first stage (list I)
9.2 If vacancies remain un-filled then candidate qualified in Teaching Eligibility Test
(TET) conducted by other states will be considered (List II).
9.3 If vacancies still remain unfilled candidates without CTETfTET will be considered
(List III). However, this condition does not apply for Librarian/Home Science,
Music, Drawing, Physical Education Teacher, Computer Science Teacher and
Assistant Teacher (Nursery) post.
10. The order of merit list will be displayed on website on 12.08.2014 (6 p.rn) and the
schedule for verification of documents relating to age, qualifications, caste certificate
etc. at the respective district offices will be notified in due course of time on the web
portal ofthis directorate.
11. The engagement of Guest Teachers for the current academic session i.e. 2014-15 will be
up to 08/05/2015 or the commencement of the summer vacation whichever is earlier.

The details of eligibility are as under:-
1. PGT/Lecturer (i) Post Graduate degree in the subject concerned, with B. Ed.
2. PGTlLecturer (i) M.Sc (Home Science) from a recognized university.
(Home Science I

(ii) B.Se.(Home Science) with B.Ed from a recognized
University provided the teacher has satisfactorily pursued a
condensed Course in Home Sc. through three consecutive
summer institutes or through one-year evening course.
3. PGT/Lecturer (Physical Post Graduatedegreein PhysicalEducation.
Education)
4. PGT/Lecturer (EVGCs) (i) M,A. in Psychology from a recognized University and
(ii) Degree or Diploma in Guidance and Counseling
5. TGT Bachelor degree(Hons/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized
University in the concerned subject with BEd.
Candidates with Graduation in two school subjects of
which at least one out of the four namely (i) English (ii)
Mathematics (iii) Natural Science / Physical Science and
(iv) Social Science should have been at the elective level.

OTHER IMPORTANT CONDITIONS
1. Condition of passing of CTET does not apply for Librarian/Home Science, Music,
Drawing, Physical Education Teacher, and Assistant Teacher (Nursery) post.
2_ Marks obtained in CTET will not be considered for purpose of computation of merit.
3. Percentage of marks must be entered up to two places of decimal.
4. The Guest Teachers shall be paid as per the rates mentioned in the following table
Which have been approved by Finance Department vide U.O. No. 54/053 dated 19-6-
2013

5. The candidate shall fill-up his I her name, Date of Birth, roll number, year of
passing etc. as they appear in the pass certificate of class XII Examination. Any
deviation in this regard will lead to disqualification. Candidates in their own
interest are advised to fill up all the items in the online application form carefully
and before submitting the form online he/she shall check the particulars on the
"Review" Screen. Requests for correction what so ever shall not be entertained
at later stages.
6. The candidate shall use, internet explorer only while filling up application online.
