Subject: Counseling of PGTs on basis of rationalization

On the subject cited above.
It has been decided by the department to exercise the process of
counseling of surplus PGTs working in Government High Schools /
Government Senior Secondary Schools on the basis of rationalization.
The rationalization effort is part of the Department's efforts to
improve education quality in the state. The overall goal for rationalization is
to ensure that each school has sufficient number of teachers for all subjects,

and our work-force is optimally distributed to meet this goal. An optimal
teacher-student ratio would ensure that every student benefits from
appropriate teacher attention in the classroom.
For this purpose, the counseling of district Ambala, Panchkula
and Yamuna Nagar will be held on 26-07-2014 in Panchkula at Shikshak
Sadan, Sector 7, Panchkula. The District Education Officers of Ambala,
Panchkula and Yamuna Nagar are directed to ensure to reach the venue at
9.00 AM on 26.07.2014. The counseling will be held from 9 AM to 5 PM on
the same day.
The list of surplus PGTs to be called for the counseling are
attached herewith. The list has been made available on the Department's
web portal. The District Education Officers of the three concerned districts
are required to ensure the intimation to 'all concerned surplus PGTs and
ensure their presence for the counseling. The DEOs are required to
accompany them to the counseling venue at the above-mentioned time and
date.
