Cat. No. 1: PRINCIPAL ( 17+6+1 = 24 Posts)
(i) At least 55% marks in Post Graduation as well as in Graduation from a recognized university; and
(ii) B.Ed. or M.Phil from a recognized University with 55% marks; and
(iii) Matriculation with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A. /M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject; and
(iv) Teaching Experience of 8 years from Government/ Recognized / Progressive Public School not below the
rank of TGT/Master, including 2 years in administrative capacity as Principal/Vice-Principal of Senior
Secondary School/Headmaster of Secondary School; and Teaching experience is an essential
qualification only.
(v) Proficiency in English and Hindi; and
(vi) Experience in conducting Seminars, Workshops, Conference etc.; and
(vii) Consistent good academic record; and
(viii) Conversant in IT skills and effective use of new technologies as tools for learning.
Desirable: Experience of working in a residential school.
Age: Not above 45 years as on 18-10-2013.
Cat. No. 2: POST GRADUATE TEACHERS (PGTs)
Qualifications common to all categories of PGTs :
(i) The subject in which Post Graduation is done should be one of the subjects in Graduation; and
(ii) B.Ed. with 50% marks from recognized university/institute. However, in the case of candidates who have
qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) or M.Phil with 50% marks from recognized university/institute,
condition of B.Ed. will not be applicable; and
(iii) Matriculation with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject; and
(iv) Certificate of having qualified State Teacher’s Eligibility Test (STET)/ Haryana Teacher’s Eligibility
Test (HTET)/National Eligibility Test (NET). Further, the condition of STET/HTET will not be
applicable in the subjects of Music and Fine Arts; and
(v) Proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi medium; and
(vi) Consistent good academic record; and
(vii) Conversant in IT skills and effective use of new technologies as tools for learning.
(viii) Essential qualification (EQ) is given with each post.

Note: Condition of B.Ed. will not be applicable.
Cat. No. 3 : 10 posts of Librarian (All for Aarohi Schools)
(i) 1st Class B.Lib. from recognized Institution with two years experience as
librarian/Assistant Librarian of University/Institution affiliated with University. Must
have working exposure of Digital Library; and
(ii) Must be conversant with techniques of Digital Storage/Maintaining of Digital Copies
Must be competent to use Library Softwares; and
(iii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
Desirable: B.Ed. Degree from a recognized university.
Age: 18-40 years as on. 18-10-2013.
(a) Pay Scale: The incumbent appointed will be paid consolidated contractual amount on the basis of
currently applicable basic salary on the said posts. In addition, the DA, House Rent and fixed
medical allowance, as applicable from time to time on the Government pattern will also be paid. At
current rates, the total approximate emoluments including all allowances for the posts of
Principal, PGT and Librarian as on 01-01-2013 will be approximately Rs.39,800/-, Rs.31,240/-
and Rs. 18409/- respectively.
(b) Application Fee: The rate of fee is Rs.500/- + Rs. 20 (Bank charges) for General category
candidates and Rs.100/- + Rs. 20 (Bank charges) for SC/BC/ESM/PHC candidates of Haryana state.
The fee should be deposited through Demand Draft in favour of Director Secondary Education
Haryana, Panchkula drawn from any Nationalized Bank and must be sent to Joint Director,
Secondary Education, Haryana, Panchkula through Registered/Speed Post which should
reach the office by 21-10-2013. Deposit of fee after the last date will not be entertained .
(c) Consistent Good Academic Record means that out of the lower qualifications i.e.
Graduation/10+2/Matric etc., other than the requisite minimum qualification, one must secure
atleast 55 % marks in one lower examination and 50% in the two lower examinations. If there are
only two lower examinations, then one must have secured atleast 55 % marks in one lower exam
and 50% in another.
(d) Professional Training Diploma or Certificate awarded by any State, Board or University other than
Haryana Education Department will be recognized only if this Degree or Diploma or Certificate has
been recognized by the Haryana Government.
(e) A Diploma/degree course in teacher education recognised by the National Council for Teacher
Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special
Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of
India (RCI) only shall be considered.
(f) 33% posts in each category shall be reserved for women and this reservation shall be
horizontal.
(g) Candidates having qualified HTET/STET conducted by Haryana Board of School Education,
Bhiwani for this category of teachers only will be eligible.

1. Regarding teaching experience for the post of Principal, an affidavit on non-judicial stamp
paper of Rs. 20/- Duly attested by at least Notary Public in support of the experience certificate
must be submitted by the candidate duly countersigned by the Heads of institutions who have
issued experience certificates. In the format Annexed at ‘A’.
The affidavit in original, complete in all respects, should be sent to Joint Director, Secondary
Education, Shiksha Sadan, Sector-5, Panchkula by Regd. Post. The affidavit should reach the
above office within seven days of the last date of application. Without the above affidavit no
experience certificate will be entertained.

(ii) Graduate with Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or its equivalent from a recognised
University with 50% marks.
Note: Condition of B.Ed. will not be applicable.

(i) 1st Class B.Lib. from recognized Institution with two years experience as
librarian/Assistant Librarian of University/Institution affiliated with University. Must
have working exposure of Digital Library; and
(ii) Must be conversant with techniques of Digital Storage/Maintaining of Digital Copies
Must be competent to use Library Softwares; and
(iii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
Desirable: B.Ed. Degree from a recognized university.
Age: 18-40 years as on. 18-10-2013.
(a) Pay Scale: The incumbent appointed will be paid consolidated contractual amount on the basis of
currently applicable basic salary on the said posts. In addition, the DA, House Rent and fixed
medical allowance, as applicable from time to time on the Government pattern will also be paid. At
current rates, the total approximate emoluments including all allowances for the posts of
Principal, PGT and Librarian as on 01-01-2013 will be approximately Rs.39,800/-, Rs.31,240/-
and Rs. 18409/- respectively.
(b) Application Fee: The rate of fee is Rs.500/- + Rs. 20 (Bank charges) for General category
candidates and Rs.100/- + Rs. 20 (Bank charges) for SC/BC/ESM/PHC candidates of Haryana state.
The fee should be deposited through Demand Draft in favour of Director Secondary Education
Haryana, Panchkula drawn from any Nationalized Bank and must be sent to Joint Director,
Secondary Education, Haryana, Panchkula through Registered/Speed Post which should
reach the office by 21-10-2013. Deposit of fee after the last date will not be entertained .
(c) Consistent Good Academic Record means that out of the lower qualifications i.e.
Graduation/10+2/Matric etc., other than the requisite minimum qualification, one must secure
atleast 55 % marks in one lower examination and 50% in the two lower examinations. If there are
only two lower examinations, then one must have secured atleast 55 % marks in one lower exam
and 50% in another.
(d) Professional Training Diploma or Certificate awarded by any State, Board or University other than
Haryana Education Department will be recognized only if this Degree or Diploma or Certificate has
been recognized by the Haryana Government.
(e) A Diploma/degree course in teacher education recognised by the National Council for Teacher
Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special
Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of
India (RCI) only shall be considered.
(f) 33% posts in each category shall be reserved for women and this reservation shall be
horizontal.
(g) Candidates having qualified HTET/STET conducted by Haryana Board of School Education,
Bhiwani for this category of teachers only will be eligible.

1. Regarding teaching experience for the post of Principal, an affidavit on non-judicial stamp
paper of Rs. 20/- Duly attested by at least Notary Public in support of the experience certificate
must be submitted by the candidate duly countersigned by the Heads of institutions who have
issued experience certificates. In the format Annexed at ‘A’.
The affidavit in original, complete in all respects, should be sent to Joint Director, Secondary
Education, Shiksha Sadan, Sector-5, Panchkula by Regd. Post. The affidavit should reach the
above office within seven days of the last date of application. Without the above affidavit no
experience certificate will be entertained.
The prescribed essential qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. In
the event of number of application being large, the Department of School Education, Haryana may
short list the candidates for interview by any criteria to be adopted by the Department. The decision of
the Department in all matters relating to acceptance or rejection of an application, eligibility/suitability
of the candidates, mode of and criteria for selection etc. will be final and binding on the candidates. No
inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
