HOS Study Centres will also be Established in Recognized Schools | How to Establish New Study Centre


There is a good news for those candidates who will be appeared in Haryna Open School Examination from next session. There will be no shortage of educational centres from next session. Now the education decided to hire retired school teachers to fill full teaching needs. In addition, New study centre will also be established in recognized private schools & aided schools.

At present, there are more than 90 study centres running in Govt. Schools across the state on District Headquarters & Block level.

Norms and Condition for establishment of Study Centre.

1. Criteria:
  • The school must be affiliated to the Board of School Education Haryana for Secondary/Senior Secondary levels.
  • The eligible schools may submit the application for the establishment of Study Centre for Secondary or Senior Secondary level or both. 
2. Infrastructure Facilities:
  • The school should have large and properly ventilated class rooms with sufficient furniture. 
3. Practical Labs:
  • The school should have one Science Laboratory to conduct practical work in Science at Secondary level.
  • For the Sr. Secondary level, the school should essentially have separate laboratories for all Practical Subjects with appropriate apparatus and instruments.
  • Sufficient and suitable furniture’s should be available in all classrooms. 
4. Library Facility:
  • The School should also have a separate library. 
5. Online Registration:
  • The School should be able to submit the applications for registration of the learners of Haryana Open School through online mode. 
6. General Instructions:
  • The School should apply for Study Centre of HOS on a prescribed application form to The Secretary, Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani (127021).
  • This form is available on the HBSE website www.hbse.ac.in 
  • The application form may be send through post, by hand or through email on ddhos@hbse.ac.in & adhos@hbse.ac.in
  • Incomplete application forms will not be accepted. 
7. Procedure:
The basic procedure for the creation of study centre includes the following steps:
  • The Schools found suitable will be short listed for inspection by an Inspection team constituted by the competent authority of HOS.
  • The Inspection Team will submit the report after inspecting the school along with their recommendations to the authority. If the recommendations are found suitable then the authority will give approval for establishment of that school as study centre. 
8. Financial Assistance:
The payment as per HOS criteria will be made which includes payments for coordinator, PCP tutor’s, clerks, peon and contingent expenditure. Once the school becomes the study centre, it is obliged to follow the norms and criterion laid down by HOS.

9. Cancellation of study centre:
The study centre may be cancelled if: -
  • A. It fails to facilitate the candidate’s with academic support.
  • B. Non-availability of the teaching staff and fail to arrange the tutors for PCP’s.
  • C. Any Complaint from the learners regarding issuing Identity Cards, assignment & evaluation of assignments.
  • D. Admission of less than 75 learners in the study centre.
  • E. Poor academic performance of the study centre and not being able to keep the performance.
  • F. Harassment of candidate in any respect.
  • G. Do not take interest in the evaluation of assignments and in providing feed back to the candidates.
  • H. Any misconduct in the procedure of admission of candidates
